“The Sea, once it casts its spell, hold one in its net of wander forever” Jacques Cousteau

PADI Open Water Course in Manila – Learn to Scuba Dive in the Philippines with the Best

Are you planning a trip to the Philippines? Do you want to learn to dive in the Philippines? This Blog is “all you need to know” about taking your PADI Open Water Course in the Philippines – one of the best countries in the world for learning to scuba dive! There is no better way to experience the phenomenal marine life of the Coral Triangle than by seeing it up close and underwater!

The famous quote by Jacques Cousteau: “The Sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever”, is no where more apparent than in Anilao where the world class dive sites will fill you with wonderment and take your breath away. The diversity of marine life, stunning reefs and variety of marine species will undoubtedly “cast its spell” on you – there is no better place to learn scuba diving than here! The Philippines is located in the heart of the Coral Triangle which is home to 6 out of 7 species of sea turtles, migrating whales and has more coral reef fish diversity than anywhere else in the world. 56% of coral reef fishes live in our waters. 76% of the world’s coral species are found in the Coral Triangle, the highest coral diversity in the world.

If you have never tried diving before, don’t worry – with our PADI Open Water Course you’ll learn the skills needed to be a safe and competent scuba diver.

At Divenet you’ll be trained by our professional PADI Instructors who are passionate about providing the best possible learning experience for every diver. We want your Open Water Course to be a memorable experience because we recognise that this is your holiday too!

You’re program will comprise three key sections to ensure that you learn the skills to maintain yourself comfortably underwater. You’ll study dive theory so you have a complete understanding of diving (and this can be taken online, from home, before you arrive if you’d prefer not to study on your holiday). You’ll learn “confined water skills”, which means sessions in the swimming pool (or pool-like environment) so you can get to grips with the gear, how to operate it and enjoy the sensation of breathing underwater in a safe and controlled environment with one of our instructors by your side and demonstrating every skill for you. The third component is what it’s all about – 4 phenomenal dives in the ocean with your instructor to assist you and show you the amazing marine life of Anilao! You’ll literally feel like a fish underwater as you swim over beautiful reefs and see marine species most people only ever view on television.

At Divenet, your safety and enjoyment are our number one priority – that’s why we follow the highest safety regulations for diving as stipulated by PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors).
